NTime Gold

NTime Gold provides the functionality to create, edit and implement a sequence of video events in an easy to use graphical form. NTime Gold is arguably the most powerful scheduling application you can find. Relying heavily on NBase Database Manager, EMC Machine and Router Control, XPansion Archive / Storage / Distribution, satellite control, as well as other software modules, NTime Gold provides the power to schedule Acquisition, Play Out, Archive / Restore / Distribute as well as other functionality at your facility, or any location that you have NVerzion software running at.

The above graphic shows an elementary implementation of NTime Gold. NTime Gold is a time driven event scheduler. A Time Drive event is one that happens on a particular day at a particular time. There is virtually no limitation to the number of events that can occur at the same time. Events can be simple, Play, Record, Stop, etc. commands. They can be as simple as a Switch command that takes an input of the router to an output. They can be archive and restore commands, delegation commands, satellite commands, etc.

Like all NVerzion front end applications; the look, feel and functionality are fully configurable. There are approximately 20 different types of fields that can be dispersed up to 4 rows per event. You can have all your events run from one NTime Gold or have multiple NTime Golds located throughout your facility or your company. It is up to you to determine what you want to do with NTime Gold.

Simple editing buttons enable you to open a schedule, close a schedule and edit the schedule. Most of these functions are available via a key stroke or from menu options. Other buttons allow you perform actions on the currently highlight event. Cueing and Starting an event will make change the time and day that an event is to happen to Now!

The NTime Gold schedule is a chronological schedule and any change in the time, or day, that an event is to occur will cause the edited event to be moved to its correct position in the schedule. Only one schedule can be loaded at a time. This schedule is, by default, a 7 day cyclical schedule. Longer schedules are available. You can schedule a particular type of event in the schedule that will unload the current schedule and load another one.

The appearance of the schedule is fully configurable. The Day, Time and Type fields are pretty much mandatory. Certain types of events require specific fields. For instance a Switch command requires both a Source and a Destination, but not necessarily a duration. A Record command to a video server requires a Destination, Duration and Material Name, but can optionally include a Source. Meta data is optional but a good idea. Meta-data can be updated in the NVerzion database NBase.

Status windows keep you informed. Other status windows are available. The top one tells you what schedule you currently have loaded. The middle one the time of day (Important in NTime Gold) and the bottom one indicates general status of the application
