NBase is the center of database management. Utilyzing either a SQL, or a flat file, database, NBase maintains and insures that all applications have up to date, and current meta-data.
At run time, applications connect to NBase, read the database, and register with NBase. If any application makes a change to the database the application notifies NBase of the change. NBase then checks its list of registered clients and notifies all of them of the change. In this manner all applications have exact copies of the database, all of the time.
Whereas NBase has proven to be an extremely reliable, all applications can continue to run without it running. Optional backup NBases can be run for redundancy.
NView Gold (Shown Below)
NView Database Viewer is a complementary application to NBase, which allows the operator to view information about the database they are using. Extremely configurable, both in function and form, it can be configured to add and remove columns (or fields) as desired. About the only field that is required is the Material ID field. NView Gold has drag and drop capabilities to a number of appications.
