NVERZION, a leading provider of digital broadcasting and television station automation solutions, today announced that WKAR, mid-Michigan's Public Television station, has chosen automation solutions from NVERZION to fully automate the Michigan State University-based station. The automation system will ensure MSU Broadcasting viewers receive the latest uninterrupted news, local information and entertainment content, while providing opportunities for each station to grow their broadcasts in the future.
WKAR's suite of applications included NVERZION's NGest dub station software, NControl - a sequential event playlist for simple server automation, NControl MC - a sequential playlist for a Master control switcher channel, and NBase -- a media database to manage WKAR's video server clips and source tapes. The installation also includes: NTime -- a clock-based event scheduler for multiple router sources and destinations, and NView -- an easy access database "window" enabling operator to view, filter, sort and edit media database fields, and NConvert Import and Recon applications to manage the importing and exporting of ASCII files to and from the traffic system.
